Lucy Padget
Lucy has practised in the field of Intellectual Property since 1997, working primarily in the life sciences sector. She possesses a wealth of global patent experience that covers the lifespan of a patent including drafting, prosecuting, litigating and business development activities, and she has worked on numerous early programs right through to key “on-market” products.
Lucy’s outlook is truly global - she lived and worked for 4 years in Massachusetts qualifying and practising as a US Patent Agent during her stay, and has been responsible for the IP portfolio of a major R&D hub in Shanghai. Lucy has extensive knowledge of the patent systems of other countries and jurisdictions.
Prior to establishing Alembia, Lucy was responsible for the IP arising from the Oncology business unit of one of the UK’s biggest pharmaceutical companies and managed the team of attorneys delivering it. He has worked in multiple therapeutic areas across all stages of drug development, drafting and prosecuting globally, managing the IP of high priority cross-company assets and defending blockbuster drugs in litigation.
